Changwon LG bowed 65-76 in its first match against Suwon KT in the preliminary round of the 2024 DB Insurance KBL Cup in Jecheon B held at Sports Gymnasium on Sunday. "We lost our first game, but all of our players played well," Tamayo said after the game. "We have to fix what needs to be fixed so that we can play better. The atmosphere and the environment are good, so I'm satisfied with everything."
When he said he was LG's ace only when he watched the game, Tamayo said, "It wasn't because I was good, but my teammates moved well so I could throw a shot, so the shot went in well," adding, "I was able to score a lot because my teammates were good."
When Tamayo said his defense was good, he said, "The opposing players are good players, but I did my best. I feel good because I think I helped the team in that sense."
As Cho Sang-hyun mentioned, LG is a team with a lot of defensive changes. Gutang also had a hard time adjusting to it. Tamayo is the same, but he is still learning faster.
